Antonio Tijerina
Welcome to Lucyle Collins Middle School!
My name is Antonio Tijerina, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of this amazing campus. I have proudly been a part of the Lake Worth community for the past six years, and it is a privilege to continue serving our students, families, and staff in this role. Beyond my work in education, I am a husband and the proud father of four amazing children. My family inspires me every day to ensure that every child on our campus is cared for, challenged, and prepared for their future.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Child Development and a Master of Education in School Administration from Angelo State University, along with certifications as a Teacher/ESL Generalist and Principal. Over the course of my career, I have served as an elementary and middle school teacher, instructional specialist, instructional coach, adjunct professor and teacher consultant for Angelo State University, and administrator. Each of these experiences has deepened my belief in the power of education to transform lives.
At LCMS, our work is guided by the mission of Lake Worth ISD: empowering all learners through meaningful connections to discover their future and prepare for success. We are also driven by the district’s vision: to be the innovative district of choice where all are empowered through personalized learning and leaders are made. These values shape every decision we make and every opportunity we create for our students.
I believe middle school is a pivotal time in a child’s journey. Together—with families, teachers, and our community—we are committed to building strong relationships, providing innovative learning experiences, and preparing every student for a bright future.
I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to working alongside you to make Lucyle Collins Middle School a place where students thrive, leaders are developed, and success is achieved.
